In Geometry students review many of the algebra skills related to writing the equation of a straight line.  They also write equations for perpendicular and parallel lines.  These 20 cards review the various skills associated with this concept.  There are two versions available at teachers pay teachers.  Click on the appropriate link to be sent to the store.
Have you wanted some interesting activities you can use in your Calculus or Calculus AP class with slope fields.  Well here is a set of 25 matching cards that deal with different slope fields.
Each set of four cards has:

  •  a card with the differential equation,
  •  a card with the slope field
  •  a card with a description, and
  •  a card with a possible solution
There are many ways you can use the cards in your classroom.  You don't have to use all the cards in one lesson.  You don't have to give all four cards out at the start.  If you don't give out the differential equation, the task would be to just match the description with the slope field and the possible solution, then students can come look at all the sets of differential equations and choose which fits their set of cards.

This is a great group activity.

All calculus students need to understand the concepts graphically, numerically, algebraically and verbally.  One set of cards that can help students understand the derivative graphically are these three products.

Are you looking for a great activity for you Geometry Classroom.  Here are a set of 20 task cards that can be used to review the type of questions students could see on the Geometry PARRC exam.  You can purchase either the set with QR Codes for the solutions or the set that only has a set of solutions available in a chart.  These products can be purchased in my store Math Through Discovery on teacherspayteachers.com.

Reviewing for AP Calculus Exams

Recently I have been working on developing two sets of task cards that review the topics for the new Calculus AB and BC exams.  Each set of task cards is made up of 45 cards and each card has the learning objective identified and color coded.

These questions will model the type of question students could expect to see on the Calculus AB and BC Exams in May.
These are available at my store Math Through Discover on Teachers Pay Teachers (teacherspayteachers.com)

Both sets of cards can be purchased with QR codes for students to confirm their solutions or just with a set of solutions.
